Tim Womack is a Partner in the EisnerAmper Cayman Islands restructuring and insolvency office. He brings over 12 years of experience in insolvency and restructuring.
Since moving to the Cayman Islands, Mr. Womack has managed and lead large and complex Cayman Islands official and provisional liquidation matters, including the complex restructuring of Luckin Coffee Inc., and numerous other matters involving elements of fraud and multifaceted global asset realisation strategy. Mr. Womack managed the Ocean Rig restructuring, the then largest ever restructuring matter in the Cayman Islands. He has also worked on one of the largest feeder funds exposed to the Madoff fraud, as well as the IIG funds official liquidation which involved over $200m of investment as well as international asset recovery and litigation. Mr. Womack also managed the first successful restructuring officer appointment, Rockley Photonics Limited, which is part of the newly implemented restructuring officer regime in Cayman.
Prior to moving to the Cayman Islands, Mr. Womack worked in a boutique insolvency and restructuring firm in Australia that was subsequently acquired by a big four firm. Mr. Womack managed and lead numerous voluntary administrations, creditors voluntary and official liquidations, as well as bankruptcy matters. Mr. Womack then worked for a top-five accounting firm in London, UK in the cross-border insolvency team, working on one of the largest ever Cayman Islands liquidations, Saad Investments, as well as other large Cayman Islands and British Virgin Islands liquidation and investigative matters.
Mr. Womack earned a bachelor’s degree in commerce from the Australian National University. He is a Qualified Insolvency Practitioner in the Cayman Islands and a Chartered Accountant (CA) (Australia and New Zealand). Mr. Womack is a professional member of the Australian Restructuring Insolvency and Turnaround Association (RITP) in Australia having completed the postgraduate Advanced Certificate of Insolvency. He is also a member of INSOL International, the International Insolvency Institute (Next-Gen), the Cayman Islands RISA chapter, and the Cayman Islands Institute of Professional Accountants.
